I come from rural America, the grandson of farmers and the son of two public school teachers, where I learned the values of hard work, service, and community. Those values have guided me every step of the way.

My journey took me to Rhodes College in Memphis, where I studied chemistry before moving to Raleigh in 2015 to earn my Master’s in Higher Education at NC State. I later pursued a Ph.D. in Public Administration, focusing on how budgeting, policy, and effective leadership can create real, lasting change for communities.

​

For years, I have been on the ground organizing and working alongside Democrats to expand voter engagement, mobilize volunteers, and strengthen our party’s grassroots infrastructure. I have trained phone bankers, coordinated precinct organizing efforts, and worked directly with campaigns to turn out voters in critical elections. I have also worked at the state and national levels to support progressive policies, build winning strategies, and strengthen Democratic operations.

Now, I am ready to lead Wake County Democrats forward by strengthening our effectiveness, expanding our engagement, and rebuilding trust with voters. Our party has made incredible progress, but there is still more work to do. The challenges ahead are real, but so are the opportunities.
